Camdenton is the county seat of Camden County, inland from the main channel. A “Camdenton dock” is usually a dock on the Niangua, on a mid-lake cove, or on a stretch of the Osage whose owners use Camdenton as their town. The quote is only useful if those are separated.
Write Camdenton as the town if that is the mailing town. In the cove field, name the arm. If you are on the Niangua, the Niangua page has the channel and cove limits. If you are on the main channel, use the Osage arm page.
New docks and lifts
Owners here often ask for a first dock or a first lift on a lot that already has a seawall. That is a new dock request plus, if the boat is part of the plan, a lift. Ameren will not permit the lift as a stand-alone structure. It has to be on the dock, and the dock needs a permit before construction. The fee for a new dock or a modification is $550.
Do not guess the fire district from the city
A Camdenton address does not tell you which of Ameren’s named fire districts inspects the dock. Mid County, Osage Beach, Sunrise Beach, and others cover different shoreline. At a sale, the right district’s electrical approval has to be less than 12 months old. Ask the district. The list is in the transfer guide.
Timing from town
If you live in Camdenton and use the house on weekends, winter is when the dock can be worked on without the boat in the slip. Ameren does not promise a review speed. Leaving the request until April is how Memorial Day gets missed. See when to quote.
